Level 1 Trip to Stratford-Upon-Avon to visit The Mad Museum and Shakespeare’s Birth Place
Detailed Description
We are organising an educational trip for our Level 1 Art & Design students to Stratford-upon-Avon on Thursday 18th December 2025. This visit supports their study programme and will help them gather research for their upcoming project, which explores moving sculpture and automata. It also forms part of their enrichment programme, giving learners the chance to experience historic locations and real-world artwork.
During the visit, students will explore:
· The MAD Museum – an interactive museam filled with mechanical art and automata
· Shakespeare’s Birthplace – A historic museum telling the story of Shakespeare’s early life
· The town center - where students will have supervised time to buy lunch or/and visit local shops
As a college, we believe that trips like this are an essential part of enrichment, helping students learn beyond the classroom and build confidence.
We will be meeting in the Art Department at SGS College WISE Campus at the earlier time of 8:45am. Students will travel by college minibuses. To ensure we arrive in Stratford on time for our pre-booked tickets, the minibuses will be leaving promptly at 9:00am and will not be able to wait passed this time, so please make sure your young person arrives before this time to avoid missing the trip.
